Creating a custom baby quilt
Kids grow up way too fast! They seem to grow out of outfits just as quick as they are purchased. But what are you to do with so many outgrown outfits laying around? You might throw them out, donate some, but what about the ones that hold too much sentimental value or are just too cute? Don't let them collect dust in a box! Instead, make a custom baby quilt they can use as they grow up!
Select their Memories
Every item your child wore carries a memory. Maybe it's the onesie they worn home from the hospital, or on their first birthday. The t-shirt from their first day of kindergarten, or their first vacation.
Including items other than T-Shirts
Making a custom quilt means you can use items other than just regular old t-shirts, and with a custom layout, you can use smaller items like onesies, and larger items like baby blankets.
Choosing your Options
There are so many different t-shirt quilt options to choose from. There are different sizes, panel sizes, backing options, border options, and even batting and long-arm stitching!
Not sure which option works best for you? Check out this blog post where we describe which options might work best for different situations. With a custom quilt, we can follow your directions. Please email us with custom requests!
Bonus tip: Designing your own layout
Want your shirts to be put together in a specific way? MemoryStitch can make that happen! Lay your shirts out the way you'd like them put together, snap a photo, and we'll follow that the best we can while also ensuring your t-shirt quilt turns out the best it can be! Read more here.
Showing it off
Don't be afraid to show off your new t-shirt quilt to your friends and family by uploading those quilt pictures to social media! We'd love to see them too, so make sure to tag us @mymemorystitch!
